Trumpet

Education and Career:

Florian studied music at Frankfurt School of Music and Performing Arts with the solo trumpeter at the Frankfurt Opera, Prof. David Tasa.

Further study with Adolph Herseth (solo trumpeter at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra), Prof. Ahn Hee – Chan (solo trumpeter at the RSO Seoul) and Friedemann Immer (Prof. of Baroque trumpet at Cologne School of Music).

Scholarship at the Orchestra Academy of the Bergisch Symphony Orchestra, Solingen/Remscheid, as well as work with the German Opera on the Rhine and venues including the state theatres in Wiesbaden and Darmstadt, the Frankfurt Opera and the Halle State Orchestra.

From 2007 – 2009, solo trumpeter at the Gießen Municipal Theatre.

Since March 2009, trumpeter at the Bochum Symphony Orchestra.

Since July 2007, trumpet lecturer at Dr. Hoch’s Conservatory.

Other activities or ambitions:

Work on radio, television and CD recordings nationally and internationally, and as part of work with orchestras. Regular solo concerts. Member of the Frankfurt Brass Big Band and BoSy Brass.

In 2010, he taught at the Orchestra Academy of the Bochum Symphony Orchestra and was a jury member for the "Jugend musiziert" competition.

Teaching aims / Methodology:

Individual development of artistic and technical abilities, building up a solid basic technique to a professional level of trumpet competence.
